During the recent Partners’ Day in Delhi
we had the chance to experience some of Delhi’s exceptional cuisine. I thought with the city now really emerging as the food capital of India, I would share with you some of my favourite restaurants if you were to travel there any time soon.
1. AKIRA BACK
Japanese food with Korean accents or Korean food with Japanese accents? It doesn’t matter since everything tastes incredible at Chef Akira Back’s signature restaurant. Dishes include delicacies like hot oil-seared salmon with yuzi ponzu, black cod with miso marinade and a whole range of sushi and sashimi. With small plates dominating the menu, you must opt for lots of starters and chatter the night away.

2. ARTUSI
A little place tucked into packed GK II market, Artusi offers wonderful Italian cuisine. The starters are exquisite with preparations like tomino cheese with sautéed mushroom and white truffle oil, which is simply superb. This is a quiet, elegant space, and also serves the best panna cotta in town.

3. INDIAN ACCENT
The only restaurant from India that was on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 list, there’s still no match for its superb fusion cuisine. Go for the famous blue cheese naan and baked paneer – and get the whole experience with the set meals options. The setting is intimate and in winter, a meal under the stars on the manicured lawns is truly memorable.
